Lessons Learned on the SEPA Fact Finding Mission to Southern California for Utility Decision Makers

Thursday, January 19, 2012 2:00pm - 3:00pm EST
Host: Solar Electric Power Association

Please join us as SEPA utility members discuss key lessons learned on the first U.S. Fact Finding Mission to Southern California. In November, SEPA led a group of utility professionals from nine states, to explore California’s rapidly growing and changing utility solar market. Mission participants met with utility peers and other experts to discuss topics including: how utilities are taking a lead in renewable development, insights from the management of solar programs, smart grid plans and the challenges posed by high penetration. The Fact Finding Mission participants also visited innovative solar sites and learned from industry stakeholders about the challenges of siting, developing and permitting solar plants and how they are improving their processes to gain a competitive edge in today’s tight solar market.
