In June, SEPA will host a webinar wtih Trina Solar, SVPV: The Pathway to Grid Parity*. Reducing the overall costs of Solar PV projects is challenging. Southern California Edison's 25O MW Solar Photovoltaic Program (SPVP) is designed to install 1 to 10 MW roof and ground mounted PV projects at an average cost of $3.50/watt.
The cost savings are achieved via a variety of means, including
(a) volume procurement pricing
(b) Standardization of optimal engineering practices
(c) interconnection directly onto distribution circuits
(d) Balance of System component reduction and innovation
(e) Data Monitoring Aggregation plus other means.
This webinar will review SCE's lessons learned and, combined with Trina Solar's experience, provide the solar industry with recommendations for going forward in the most cost effective manner.
